Dr Shyamanta Das, MD completed MBBS in 1997 and MD in 2007 from Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Guwahati, Assam, India. He served as Medical & Health Officer-I in Dhubri Civil Hospital, Dhubri; as Registrar in Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Guwahati; as Assistant Professor in Silchar Medical College Hospital, Silchar, and Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital, Barpeta. Currently, he is the Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Guwahati since January 2014. His research interest include Biological psychiatry, cultural psychiatry, addiction medicine, child psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, community psychiatry.
