Dr. Sharni L Hardcastle is from University of Toronto, Canada. Currently He studying HIV immune pathogenesis particularly in the context of immune exhaustion pertaining to the molecule Tim-3. Other research interests focus on HIV-Nef, a protein that is involved in immune evasion of an HIV infected cell from killer cells. Current research focuses on negating this role of Nef thereby enhancing the immune system’s response towards HIV infection.
