Biography
Dr. Sahar Mohamed Kamal has received her PhD in Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University during the period of1997-2002. Currently, she is working as associate prof. in Pharmacology,
Pharmacology dept, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. She has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities as a basic pharmacological researcher in 2014. Her research has included chronic mild stress in rats and mice, possible GABAergic and neuroplasticity of some
drugs in newer generations of antidepressants & antipsychotics, Possible antioxidant activity of some
drugs used in treatment of epilepsy-depression
comorbidity and as well as in
hypertension and diabetes. She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like journal of neurological disorders, and journal of neuroinfectious diseases & expert Reviewers for journals like some journals of biochemical sciences of International ScienceDomain. She has authored 24 research articles. She is a member of Egyptian Society of basic and clinical pharmacology, Arab Society of infectious diseases & Antimicrobials. Antioxidant effects of drugs GABAergic and glutamergic effects of drugs acting on CNS Induction of anhedonia by application of CMS Possible interactions between antidepressant and anti-hypertensives Neurogenesis and neuroplasticity that would promote the improvement done by antidepressants and antipsychotics in treatment of depression and psychosis.
