Biography

Mr. Renold J. Capocasale, Ren founded FlowMetric, Inc in 2009 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Mr. Capocasale is a scientific researcher with more than 20 years in immunological primary, translational and pharmaceutical research and more than 13 years in biologic therapeutic drug development. He is an expert in polychromatic flow cytometry, cell sorting, immunology, cell biology, assay development, and cell culture technology. He worked as a Research Scientist for Centocor, a Johnson & Johnson biologic research and development company, until December 2009,. Since 1989, Mr. Capocasale has authored more than 30 published scientific manuscripts, all in peer reviewed journals, and professionally exhibited abstracts. He is co-author of one US Patent. He has been an invited speaker to international platform presentations for the Congress of International Drug Discovery Science and Technology, the International Congress of Immunology, Experimental Biology, and national, regional and local conferences. Mr. Capocasale co-authored a chapter on the “Application of Flow Cytometry in Drug Development” for Immunotoxicology Strategies for Pharmaceutical Safety Assessment, published by John Wiley & Sons in August 2008. His work at Centocor earned him five prestigious Johnson & Johnson awards for scientific excellence and innovation. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Sigma Xi Research Honorary. Mr. Capocasale graduated from Villanova University in May 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and has extensive graduate course work in Immunology and Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
