Biography
Renjing Liu is Head of the Agnes Ginges Laboratory for Diseases of the Aorta at the Centenary Institute. Dr. Liu completed her PhD from the University of Sydney with Prof. David Little at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. She completed two postdoctoral traineeships from Yale University - the first at the Yale Stem Cell Center to understand epigenetic mechanisms regulating myogenesis and generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) from one of the pioneers in the field; and the second at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center to understand the role of DNA demethylation in cardiovascular diseases.
Research Interest

Liu has a strong background and interest in stem cell biology, epigenetic regulation of gene expression and cardiovascular research. The main goal of the Aorta Lab is to identify novel pathways and regulators involved in cardiovascular disease, with a specific focus on epigenetic regulation in cellular plasticity.
