Heart Transplants

Heart transplantation is performed by cardiac surgeons to heart; It is surgical procedure to perform a heart failure and severe coronary artery disease. Heart failure is a condition in which the heart is damaged or weak. It can't pump enough blood to whole body but can enhance the heart activity. A heart transplant removes a damaged or diseased heart and replaces it with a healthy one.

Heart transplantation includes the necessity of a donor heart and a recipient person. Donor and recipient should possess same antigenic properties, so that the recipient person will accept the donor heart in an acceptable manner. If the recipient and donor shows any diversity in their immunological properties, then the recipient will reject it and the process of heart transplantation will fail.
