He has completed his PhD from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences. He is the Head of Phyto-Lipid Biotechnology Lab at the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals
