Ragauskas AJ is working as Professor, School of Chemistry and Biochemistry Georgia Institute of Technology. He is awarded with Ph.D. from University of Western Ontario. He holds his Bachelors degree from University of Western Ontario,1980. He recieved ACS Award for Affordable Free Chemistry (2014), ORNL Visiting Fellow (2013), Elected American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellow (2012), Elected to Academy Board of International Academy of Wood Science (2012), Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Alternative Energy (2008-2009).
Green chemistry of biopolymers including: cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. Through the use of green chemistry, biotechnology, and cold plasma, our research group is looking at new ways to synthesis novel biomaterials, biocomposites, and biofuels from nature's renewable biopolymers.
