Prem C. Pandey

Biography

Professor Prem C. Pandey has completed his PhD from Gorakhpur University and postdoctoral studies from Ecole des Mines, France and National Institute of Standards & Technology, USA. He has been ex Head of the department of Chemistry and group leader of Biosensors Technology at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU). His research activity is focused on studying the electron transfer process from active biomolecules present within porous and nanoporous thin film and has been working on electrochemical biosensors technology since 1985. The role of functional alkoxysilanes during synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles and other nanomaterials along with innovative nanoporous thin film development has been his major innovative research findings. He has delivered several invited lectures at various part of the world and published more than 150 papers, two encyclopedia on sensors, two book chapters, 17 patents and innovator of several biosensors technology including the potentiality for commercialization of blood glucometer in India.
