Biography
My professional interests lie in fundamental feasibility assessment of engineering technologies and strategic planning in regard to innovation & growth of promising technologies in a variety of technical landscapes.
I also hold academic ranks of assistant professor in engineering departments in Pittsburgh, PA and San Antonio, TX. My academic research interests lie in big data analytics, computer vision, biomedical image quantification using physics-based algorithmic approaches (see: www.themedcave.co.nr). The latter include personalized surgical planning and real-time intra-operative guidance, leveraging computational bio-modeling techniques, including computational anatomy, shape-analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer and applied mechanics. I have an aptitude to understand, simulate and optimize the functioning of engineering systems, a strong research publication record and a track record of successfully completed contractual, academic and consulting projects, spanning areas of product design, CFD simulation and engineering finite element analysis (FEA), predominantly in the healthcare and medical devices space but also for mechanical engineering design.
