Olivia Garcia-Suarez

Biography

 Degree and PhD in Biology from the University of Oviedo. He joined the Department of Morphology and Cell Biology in 1995 in the laboratory of Prof. Jose Antonio Vega Alvarez and Prof. Miguel Enrique Soto del Valle, between 1995 to 1997 makes the doctorate courses in the program of the Department of Neuroscience Functional Biology of the University of Oviedo and PhD in January 2000. From July 2000 to 2004 made his postdoc at the University of Messina (Sicily, Italy), in the laboratory of Prof. G. Germanà (Dipartamento Morphology Physiology Biochemistry e Produzione Animale). In 2005 he joined the IUOPA (Cancer Institute of Asturias) as a researcher until 2008. In 2009 she was hired by the company Aad (Asturiana de Intraoral Devices for Sleep Apnea) as responsible for research and innovation. Finally in 2010 I became Assistant hired Dr. attached to the Department of Morphology and Cell Biology at the University of Oviedo teacher. She is the author of 49 scientific publications, as well as an entire issue of the journal Microscopy Research and Techniques is the referee. 

Research Interest

 Techniques of cell biology and morphology applied to the study of the peripheral nervous system and sense organs in different species, humans, rodents and fish.
