Neil PJ Price

Biography

Neil Price is a government research scientist at the USDA’s National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (USDA-NCAUR) in Peoria, IL. He has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of London (1990), and research experience at the John Innes Institute, Norwich, U.K., University of Geneva, Switzerland, and Paul-Sabatier University in Toulouse, France, before joining the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center in Athens, GA. He previously held a faculty position at the Dept. of Pharmacology, U. of Rochester, NY, before joining the USDA-NCAUR national laboratory in 2003.

Research Interest

Carbohydrate analysis, and especially the application of mass spectrometry and NMR to microbial metabolism.
