Dr. Muneendra Kumar born in Bhawan Khera, a small village in Uttar Pradesh in 1982, Dr. Kumar had his schooling in the same village and graduated in Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in 2007 from College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, DUVASU, Mathura, securing a first division. Dr. Kumar qualified ICAR- Junior Research Fellowship for Maters degree programme and completed his Master of Veterinary Science in Animal Nutrition from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana, in 2009 with first class. Dr. Kumar awarded Institutional Fellowship and pursued his doctoral programme in the same institution. He secured maximum marks in Doctoral degree programme and awarded merit certificate. He became Assistant Professor in 2011 in Department of Animal Nutrition, Veterinary University, Mathura. Dr. Kumar had a deep involvement in Animal Nutrition research and awarded the prestigious VLIR-UOS Scholarship in 2014 for International Training Programme in Animal Nutrition organized by Gent University, Belgium. His work on the micronutrient nutrition received considerable acclaim. He immersed himself in conducting research in area of mineral and vitamin nutrition, guiding master’s student and teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level. He has published more than 35 papers in national and international journals. He is reviewer and editor of many national and international journals. Dr. Kumar attended two international and many national conferences. He has received many awards in category of oral and poster presentation in different conferences. He is lifetime member of Animal Nutrition Society of India, Animal Nutrition Association, Indian Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Animal Welfare, Society for Conservation of Domestic Animal Biodiversity, Indian Poultry Science Association, International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, Associated member of the be-troplive, the Belgian Platform on Tropical Animal Health and Production. Dr. Kumar is also CEC member of Animal Nutrition Society of India.
