He was awarded PhD in Food Chemistry & Biochemistry from UPM, Malaysia in the year 2002. He holds a Master Degree (MSc) in Applied Chemistry & Chemical Technology from University of Gezira, Sudan in the year 1990, and a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Biochemistry from Cairo University, Egypt in the year 1980. He has extended his valuable service as an Associate Professor in the Bioenvironmental Engineering Research Centre (BERC) at Department of Biotechnology Engineering, Faculty of Engineering in International Islamic University, Malaysia since 2005 and has been a recipient of many award and grants. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests as an Associate Professor reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals. He is the Editorial Board Member of reputed Journals and serves as a member of various associations apart from being an author for many books.
