Biography
Dr. Mohamed Amine Mnaili is a neurologist affiliated with the Neurology Department at Mohammed V Military Teaching Hospital in Rabat, Morocco. His clinical expertise encompasses a range of neurological disorders, with a particular focus on autoimmune neurological conditions and rare neurological syndromes. In 2018, Dr. Mnaili co-authored a case report titled "Acute Myelopathy Associated with Hashimoto's Disease," published in the Journal of Thyroid Disorders & Therapy. This report detailed the case of a 36-year-old woman presenting with acute weakness in both lower limbs, ultimately diagnosed with myelopathy linked to Hashimoto's disease. The study underscored the importance of considering autoimmune thyroiditis in the differential diagnosis of acute myelopathies, especially when common causes have been excluded. Dr. Mnaili has also contributed to the understanding of spinal cord pathologies. He co-authored an article titled "Infarctus médullaire aigu: un diagnostic méconnu au pronostic sévère" ("Acute Medullary Infarction: An Underrecognized Diagnosis with Severe Prognosis"), which discussed the clinical presentation and challenges in diagnosing acute spinal cord infarction. The paper highlighted the severe prognosis associated with delayed diagnosis and emphasized the need for heightened clinical awareness. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mnaili is involved in academic activities, contributing to the training of medical students and residents. His dedication to advancing neurological science and improving patient care is evident through his research and clinical practice.
