Md. Shofiqul Islam

Biography

He was awarded PhD in rock/coral geochemistry  from University of the Ryukyus, Japan in the year 2011.  He holds a Master Degree (MSc) in Physics and Earth Sciences from University of the Ryukyus, Japan in the year 2009 and from University of Rajshahi (2004).  He has extended his valuable service as an Associate Professor in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology since 2004 and has been a recipient of many award and grants. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. Dr. Md. Shofiqul Islam is currently affiliated to Shahjalal University, Bangladesh, continuing research in the specialized scientific area of Petroleum and Mining Engineering. Dr. Md. Shofiqul Islam has authored several articles along with chapters in different books related to Mining Engineering.  His research interests as an Associate Professor reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.  He is the Journal Referee of JAES/Academic journal and serves as a member of various associations Bangladesh Geological society/ AGU.
