Biography

Llewellyn Tang is currently affiliated to Department of Architecture and Built Environment, University of Nottingham, UK. He is the Head of the Department of Architecture and Built Environment in the University of Nottingham Ningbo, a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a Professional Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), a Charter Engineer for the Hong Kong institution of Engineers (MHKIE), a Chartered Builder for the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), and Associate Faculty Member for Informatics Research Centre (IRC) in the University of Reading. Between 2008 and 2012, he was Associate Faculty Members for Design Innovation Research Centre (DIRC) (funded by EPSRC £1.25m), Innovative Construction Research. He is an author, editorial board member and reviewer for many internationally renowned high impact peer-reviewed journals. He is also an editorial board member for Architectural Research. One of the recent conference paper studied how designers and engineers transfer design information and knowledge effectively was awarded the Best innovation research paper - The 'Rod Howes' Commemorative Award in ARCOM 2009. He is currently a Reviewer for a number of top-ranked journals including Automation in Construction, Construction Management and Economics, Support System and European Journal of Operational Research. From 2000 to 2004 Llewellyn also served as Committee Member and Student Representative of the Building Division Committee of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).
