Lee Chi-Hang, Ronald is an interventional cardiologist at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore, and he is a tenured Associate Professor (clinician-scholar track) at the National University of Singapore. He is an accredited specialist in cardiovascular medicine. Dr Lee's research interests focus on percutaneous coronary intervention, intravascular imaging, and sleep-disordered breathing.
A/Prof Lee graduated MBBS, and subsequently obtained a doctorate from the University of Hong Kong. Upon completion of interventional cardiology fellowship in Thoraxcenter, The Netherlands, A/Prof Lee joined the National University Hospital in 2003. He was awarded the National Medical Excellence Award in 2011 for his innovative strategy to shorten door-to-balloon time in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention. A/Prof Lee has been appointed Associate Professor of Medicine by the National University of Singapore since 2007, and Senior Consultant Cardiologist by the National University Hospital since 2011. A/Prof Lee has authored or co-authored more than 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals or chapters in medical textbooks. He serves as a reviewer and editorial member for a number of peer-reviewed journals. A/Prof Lee is holding research grants from the National Medical Research Council, Ministry of Education, and Singapore Heart Foundation. A/Prof Lee is a fellow of the Royal College of Physician, American College of Cardiology, and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
