design and synthesise or isolate from natural sources novel bioactive compounds with functionality to (i) detect and treat diseases and (ii) develop new technology for the improvement of the environment. Key areas of interest include: Anti-cancer, anti-parasitic and antioxidant therapeutics, Drug formulation development, Bioactive compounds from natural sources.
