Kazuo Tamura

Dr. Tamura is a professor of medicine at Fukuoka University and a director of Fukuoka University Hospital. He was graduated from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan in 1974 and finished clinical training in internal medicine at Elmhurst General Hospital affiliated with Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, N.Y. in 1978 and medical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in 1980. Since then, he has worked as a medical oncologist and carried out clinical research in the field of hematological malignancy as well as solid tumors. He also served as a president of the Japanese Society of Medical Oncology from 2011 to 2014. Now, he actively involves in establishing the Japanese Association of Supportive Care in Cancer. Currently he has wide range of research works, 57 publications, 622 citations and 353 peer reviewers. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
