Joseph B. Muhlestein

Biography

Dr. Muhlestein is Co-director of Cardiology Research at Intermountain Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at University of Utah. He is also Honorary Professor of Medicine at Xian Medical University, People’s Republic of China. He received his BS degree from Brigham Young University in 1980 and his MD degree from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah in 1984. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Duke University. Dr. Muhlestein’s research interests include new interventional technologies, cardiovascular clinical outcomes.
