Joel G. Anderson, PhD, CHTP, holds a PhD in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. He completed a T32-funded postdoctoral research fellowship in the conduct of clinical studies and research with human subjects at the University of Virginia Center for the Study of Complementary and Alternative Therapies. As a fellow, Dr. Anderson served as a co-investigator on several clinical studies involving the use of complementary therapies in chronic disease populations. In addition, as a postdoctoral fellow he conducted secondary data analyses to examine the use of complementary therapies by persons with chronic diseases.
