Dr. Jian Zhou is working as Professor at Shanghai Key Laboratory of Green Chemistry and Chemical Processes, Department of Chemistry, East China Normal University. He is awarded with Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry‚ Chinese Academy of Science in 1999-2004, he holds his Bachelors degree from B.S. Sichuan Normal University. He recieved Thieme Chemistry Journals Award in 2011.
Development of new chiral catalysts and new catalytic asymmetric reactions allowing the catalytic economical and enantioselective construction of tetrasubstituted stereogenic carbon center. Currently‚ we are interested in the catalytic asymmetric economical synthesis of 3‚3-disubstittuted oxindoles, quaternary amino acids and compounds with a fluoroalkyl group substituted tetrasubstituted stereogenic carbon center.
