Jasmin Mecinovic received the BSc degree in chemistry (highest honours) from the University of Ljubljana (2005). He was a Newton-Abraham predoctoral fellow, and received a PhD in organic chemistry and chemical biology from the University of Oxford (2009) under the supervision of Professor Christopher J. Schofield. Subsequently, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, where he worked in the group of Professor George M. Whitesides. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemical Biology at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. The research in his group is centered around fundamental aspects of molecular recognition in chemistry and biology, with a special focus on the chemical basis of epigenetics and supramolecular protein assemblies.
