He was awarded PhD in Environmental Biotechnology from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the year 1969.  He holds a Master Degree (MSc) in Agricultural Engineering from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt in the year 1973, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Agricultural Engineering from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt in 1969. He has extended his valuable service as an Professor in Biological Engineering since 2005 and has been a recipient of many award and grants. Currently, he is Professor Emeritus at Dalhousie University. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.  His research interests as a Professor reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.  He serves as a member of various associations such as Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia, American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), National Council for Scientific Research etc. Dr. Ghaly AE is currently affiliated to Dalhousie University, Canada, continuing research in the specialized scientific area of Process Engineering. Dr. Ghaly AE has authored several articles along with chapters in different books related to Process Engineering and Applied Science.
