Dr. Fernando Antonio de Almeida graduated in medicine at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP - 1976), medical residence at UNIFESP (internal medicine and nephrology 1977-1979), PhD in nephrology at UNIFESP (1980-1982) and post-doctoral fellow at Cornell University Medical College - New York - USA (1985-1987). Since 1982 is professor of medicine at the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC / SP)? Department of Medicine? Nephrology. Has experience in medicine, focusing on nephrology, acting on the Following subjects: hypertension, metabolic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, epidemiology and medical education. Expertise in conducting clinical trials the principal investigator since 1989 studies in phases II, III and IV. From 2011 to 2015 was coordinator of the Postgraduate Progam "Education in Health Professions" at PUC / SP. Currently is Head of Department of Medicine at Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at PUC / SP, Sorocaba campus.
