Biography
Dr. Forster received her bachelor of science from the University of Houston, TX and both her M.S. in Statistics, and her Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with a focus on acceleration physiology from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Forster's experience encompasses 29 years of aerospace medicine RDT&E efforts. Her work at the USAF and USN focused on the research and development of life support equipment addressing the acceleration, altitude, thermal, and chemical-biological environments. She also served as Science Advisor to Commander THIRD FLEET. Her scientific contribution at the FAA has focused on epidemiologic studies of disqualifying pathologies in civil aviation. Dr. Forster’s research is described in over 200 publications. She is a certified Program Manager Professional and a Fellow of both the Aerospace Medical Association and NAVAIR. She currently serves as the manager of the Protection & Survival Research Lab at the FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute in Oklahoma.
