Biography

Dr. Ivana Erceg Ivkošić specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, since 2003 employed at KB Holy Spirit. Within ended School of Medicine in Split, Zagreb University. During her studies she was a demonstrator Department of Medical Oncology, and after the study was "postdoctoral fellow" at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Department of genetics and developmental biology, for two years, where she did her doctoral thesis. After returning to Croatia in Split ends postgraduate doctoral studies 
in basic and clinical medical sciences, clinical medicine, where he and a PhD.Over time ended postgraduate courses 1.kategorije of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology, the place and role of colposcopy in early diagnosis and prevention of neoplastic changes of the cervix and lower genital tract, and the gynecological surgery and endoscopy. Since 2010, the coordinator of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Hospital Holy Spirit to collect blood from the umbilical cord for storage of stem cells for the Ana Rukavina Foundation and for the personal use of the Bank of stem cells KBC Zagreb (rib). He participates in the teaching activities of the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics, University Hospital Holy Spirit. He is the author of several scientific papers cited in Current Contents and other databases, co-author of several books and a whole series of summaries. She participated in a number of both Croatian and world congresses in the field of gynecology and obstetrics and genetics, ie, molecular medicine, and in projects in these areas.Member of several sections of the Croatian Medical Association, and is a founding member, and since 2004 and president of the International Society for Applied Biological Sciences (International Society for Applied Biological Sciences, ISABS), which is organized every 2 years internationally recognized conferences with an emphasis on clinical and forensic Genetics.
