Christopher Orton, a Colorado State University veterinary heart surgeon and a WSU alum, has been hired as the new head of the Department of Clinical Sciences. Orton has built a premier program at CSU in canine heart surgery, noted for its high success rate.Orton has served as interim department head for the past 18 months; he will assume the post on a permanent basis starting July 1.Orton earned his bachelor’s degree in zoology at Oregon State University, 1974;
