Dr. Carsten Tschöpe is the Assistant medical director of the Clinic and Deputy Consultant of the Department of Cardiology and Pulmonology, Charité Berlin. He received his doctorate in medicine in 1993. Dr. Carsten Tschöpe has over 140 peer reviewed publications, incl. overview- and book articles, 120 international original articles. His research interests include inflammatory cardiomyopathy, diabetic cardiopathy, ischemic cardiopathy. He also includes diastolic dysfunction, endothelial dysfunction, peptide systems and experimental and clinical studies in cardiology, stem cells in his research studies. Dr. Carsten Tschöpe is also working as an alternate director of the Dept. of Cardiology, Charité, CVK.
