Carlos Chavez Olortegui was Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University Ricardo Palma, Lima, Peru (1980), master's degree in Biochemistry and Immunology at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1986), PhD in Immunology at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1993) and post-doctorate from the Université Montpellier, CNRS UMR 5094, France (1998 and 2004). He was Visiting Researcher at Imperial College London, England from September 2011 to September 2012. And Honorary Professor of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima Peru since May 2012. Member of INCT toxins since 2009. He is currently Associate Professor of Federal University of Minas Gerais. It has experience in Immunochemistry area of toxins. Biotechnology peptide used for the identification and synthesis of mimotopes or epitopes in proteins for the production of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.
