Biography
Dr. Backlund is a specialist in emergency medicine. He evaluates and treats emergency department patients to rule out and stabilize life-threatening conditions. He is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Washington and the associate director of emergency ultrasound for the UW Department of Emergency Medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and his medical degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of California, San Diego.
