Biography
 Alice Montague is a research assistant at Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health, working as part of a small team responsible for supporting evidence-based practice in headspace centres throughout Australia.As an Evidence Mapping and Translation research assistant, she helps to comprehensively map the youth mental health evidence and assist with translational activities that support the implementation of evidence into practice. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology and Criminology in 2012 and outside youth mental health research enjoys music, public radio, baking, growing and eating delicious food, and being outdoors.   Dr Alex Parker is a Senior Research Fellow and leads the headspace Centre of Excellence, operated by Orygen. Her research explores the effectiveness and acceptability of low intensity treatments specifically targeted to young people with depression. She also is studying the changes that occur in young people after treatment in order to better understand why treatments work. Alex is leading a major Australia-wide investigation into the effects of incorporating physical activity into routine clinical care for young people with depression. This program includes a large National Health and Medical Research Council-funded multi-site study as part of the national mental health service platform of headspace. Alex is also involved in building the capacity of people working in youth mental health through education and training.  
Research Interest

 Alice’s research interests include shared-decision making in clients at ultra high risk of psychosis, true youth participation and engagement, qualitative research, and low-cost, low-intensity treatments.
