Mass Destruction

Nuclear weapons are the archetypal weapons of mass destruction. These weapons explode above or on the ground causing damage arising from contact with displaced objects followed by a fireball, concussion and fallout. Any terrorist attack using weapons of mass destruction will result in substantial psychological trauma and stress. Significant psychological and behavioral reactions to an attack with weapons of mass destruction are certain include both group and individual reactions and will follow a predictable course. A weapon of mass destruction is a nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological or other weapon that can kill and bring significant harm to a large number of humans.
