Dr Sylvaine received her PhD in 2000 in the University of Nantes (France). After a 2 year post-doctoral training in the laboratory of Chih-Pin Liu (City of Hope Medical Center, Beckman Research Institute, Department of Immunology), she joined the team of Lucienne Chatenoud in Paris to continue her research on autoimmune diabetes. In 2007, she obtained a permanent position at the INSERM Institute. Currently, she is an associate professor at the Necker-Enfants Malades Institute, INSERM Unit 1151, team 7 "immunoregulation and immunpathology". Her expertise mainly concerns the "immune tolerance" and the development of therapeutic strategies that could be used for restoring or inducing it in autoimmunity and trasplantation, respectively. Sylvaine You is a member of the French Society of Immunology (SFI), the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) and the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT).
