Biography

Dr. Jinzi J. Wu is Founder, Chairman and CEO of Ascletis which was founded in April 2013. Ascletis is an innovative R&D driven biotech with three commercial products. Led by Dr. Wu, Ascletis (1672.HK) became the first pre-revenue biotech listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2018 and raised US$400M. Dr. Wu has more than 20-year experience covering R&D, GMP manufacturing and commercialization in Big Pharma and biotech. Prior to founding Ascletis, he was Vice President at GSK R&D in USA. He also held various R&D positions from Sr. Scientist to Vice President at Novartis, Immunex/Amgen and Ambrilia in USA and Canada. Dr Wu obtained his PhD in Cancer Biology from University of Arizona.

• Cell Biology: Primary cell culture, cell apoptosis, DNA, RNA and protein extraction
• Molecular Biology: Isolation and purification of RNA and DNA, conventional PCR and real time quantitative PCR, extraction of protein, agarose electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, Blue Native Gel Electrophoresis
• Immunology: ELISA, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence imaging
• Pathology: sample/section preparation, paraffin and frozen slides sectioning, HE staining, immunohistological double/triple staining
• Animal handling: Genotying and mouse colony management, small animal treatment and dissection, micro-dissection, micro-surgery, rat model of diabetes, stroke animal model, Parkinson`s model
• Computer skills: Photoshop, SPSS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point
