Biography

Distinguished Professor Doctor Jean-François Picimbon has received his PhD in Marseille University (France) including predoc at Stony Brook University of New York (Long Island, USA) during the period of 1992-1995. Currently, he is working as Director of Agricultural Microbiology Institute in QILU University of Technology (Jinan, Shandong Province, China). He has successfully completed his administrative and research responsibilities as Assistant/Associate Professor in Lund University, Researcher Associate at the School of Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics of the University of Göteborg, Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor of Gembloux University (Belgium), Researcher, Lecturer and Project Leader in the frame of Erasmus-Socrates Sweden-Belgium, Sweden-Lithuania, Sweden-Czech Republic.

His research has included pheromones and olfactory proteins of insects. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: S.T.A. JISTEC - BRAIN Research fellowship (Japan), Alexander von Humboldt fellowship (Germany), “One of the top ten most talend international young scientists” (14th NAITO Conference, “Bioactive Natural Products and their Mode of Action, Kanagawa, Japan, 2001), "High Level Oversea Scientist" and "Taishan Scholar Oversea Scientist" (China).
