Biography

Dr. Jakub Bukowczan has received his medical degree from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland in 2004. He continued his postgraduate education and training in the United States, Ireland and United Kingdom, where he completed his residency in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus in 2015. He earned his Membership of Royal College of Physicians in London and Membership of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Dr. Jakub Bukowczan also is a member of several scientific endocrine and diabetes societies in Europe, United Kingdom and Unites States.He actively publishes original research, and serves as a reviewer for several medical journals. He also sits on the editorial board in one of the endocrine journals. Dr. Jakub Bukowczan is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in England:he graduated from King’s College London with Postgraduate Diploma in Education for Healthcare Professionals, and taught medical students at the Newcastle and Durham Universities in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Dr. Jakub Bukowczan is a professionally trained musician, he obtained his Master of Arts degree from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland and further to this, as a Fulbright Scholar, he continued his musical education in historical performance (organ) in the USA. Currently, Dr. Jakub Bukowczan keeps himself clinically active as Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist, as well as, academically focusing in his work on the role of gut hormones in animal models of acute pancreatitis.
