Abstract :

We are presenting two interesting cases of head and neck tumors. One of which is a rare salivary gland tumor that has a wide range of clinical presentation ranging from indolent, local and slowly growing tumors to a very aggressive, infiltrative and widely metastasizing forms. Our case is the first case, to our knowledge, to be reported in the literature from Saudi Arabia of this entity with features of high grade transformation. The second case is of a dedifferentiated sarcoma that is known to be extremely rare to the location of its occurrence with a quite challenging diagnostic process.

Daliah Anwar Abdul Hafeez has completed her Graduation with MBBS and MD at King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah. She has the Saudi Board and the Arab Board qualifications for Anatomical Pathology, SB-Ant. Path and ArBHS-Ant. PAth. She works at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital as Consultant Pathologist and she is the Residency Training Program Director of Anatomical Pathology at KFAFH. Abdullah GhafouriDr Abdullah Ghafouri who is a Oral & Head and Neck oncology surgeon.Fellow of head and neck oncology surgery at bordeaux university France 2012 French board of ORL & head and neck Suergery 2011 Assistant medical director at KFAFH Jeddah Deputy head of ORL and head & neck Suergery department at KFAFH Jeddah Head of head and neck oncology surgery division at KFAFH Jeddah Residency’s training programs director at KFAFH Jeddah.
