Abstract :

Nowadays, increasing in wireless communication users urged the revision and development of new telecommunication technologies. In this work, a novel resource allocation scheme to manage the trade-offs between total throughput maximization and system fairness in the Non-orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) system in 5G networks is introduced. Our approach is designed to improve throughput and fairness as performance metrics of the Non-orthogonal Multiple Access system. We apply integer linear programming (ILP) for user pairing and use particle swarm optimization (PSO) as the power allocation scheme. The novel approach designs the multi-objective using scalarization of multi-objective optimization (SMOO) which has the flexibility to assign different weights to a single objective, either sum rate or fairness. Moreover, the problem is formulated on scalar multiple objective optimizations with a penalty that prevents the optimization from violating the constraints of the optimization function. The simulation results show that the proposed approach outperformed the conventional approach by at least 17% in terms of throughput maximization and had a better fairness rate, and better than GOS, 21.9 % better than MWF, and 33% better than OFDMA. Moreover, the system shows greater fairness than existing schemes while the third scenario outperformed the first and second scenarios. Finally, the novel algorithm and scheme can satisfy the throughput maximization and fairness for the future NOMA system-based 5G network. This novel algorithm and scheme can be commercialized with high possibility and feasible 5G network. This invention has a high impact to the telecommunication providers in Malaysia. The value Creation are it is able to save money, reduce OPEX/CAPEX, produce very simple network, better coverage, higher speed, license of IP, revenue from royalties, improve Customer satisfaction index, green communication, create new business opportunities in wireless communication industries.
