Abstract :

Occupational health nursing aims to ensure the health, safety, optimum working capacity and well-being of the working population. Many health problems in the workplace can be solved by independent nursing strategies. The guidelines for occupational diseases are helpful in the decision-making process and the quality and consistency of occupational health nursing care will be standardized by using them. In addition, since it is approaching a health problem step by step, the problem can be solved completely. Dermatitis is the most common occupational diseases and health problems. Dermatitis can be prevented by using specially developed standard guidelines by occupational health nurses, and achievement of treatment and follow-up of the disease can be achieved. This review focuses on the OHN clinical guidelines for dermatitis in treatment. Dermatitis guideline for nurses was developed by Rogers et al., (1992). The intent of this guideline is to provide a format that defines dermatitis, gives direction to a policy strategy, and identifies assessment needs and interventions, delineates conditions regarding medical referral, and follow-up clients care. The use of OHN clinical guidelines for dermatitis will help to provide a systematic approach for prevention dermatitis.
