Abstract :

From the caveman to Cleopatra, and for all of those thousands of years the art of permanently changing ones looks through tattooing the skin or the face has grown in popularity. It was not until the most recent twenty years the use of tattooing on the face to enhance the natural features became popular. Gradually women and occasional men started to understand the great benefit that cosmetic or medical tattooing could have in their lives. There is now such a large range of procedures available to the public that can change their lives in such a positive way. Cosmetic or Medial tattooing ranges from enhancement of the Eyebrows, Eyeliner, Full lip color, Freckles on, Freckles off, creation of a missing large toe nail, camouflage of scars, especially in the hair or beard area, and simulation of hair in balding areas. There are also creation of areolas on breast cancer reconstruction patients, scar elimination, and skin repigmentation. Just to mention a few other procedures and as people age all of their features get smaller and lighter, so with permanent cosmetics or cosmetic tattooing we can enhance their looks of their features and give them back the contrast and definition they once had when they were 20 years younger. There are also more regulations to the manufactures of the ?Pigment? used which is stricter than in regular tattooing. What the industry lacks is local and state wide regulation of all types of tattooing.
