The decrease of the Minoxidil 1% side effects by using herbal stimulants in cerita hair tonic

Abstract :

Today, most people suffer from androgenic hair loss, this type hair loss takes place because of over expression of 5-alpha reductase gene. 5-alpha reductase enzyme converted testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. This hormone after connecting to androgen receptor, acts as a transcription factor and leads to expression of genes that ends up in reducing volume of hair follicles. Minoxidil 2% or 5% is one of effective chimicals which widens blood vessels and opens potassium channels that allows reaching more oxygen, and nutrients to the hair follicles, but has side effects such as: scalp inflammation and stiffness. In order to soften tonic compound and make use of stimulation capability of herbs in hair growth, herbal extracts were used in Cerita anti hair loss tonic?s compound and the rate of Minoxidil usage decreased to 1%. Existing, 12-methoxycarnosic acid polyphenol in the mixture of herbal extracts used in combination of Cerita anti hair loss tonic inhibits the binding of dihydrotestosterone to androgen receptors. In fact 12-methoxycarnosic acid disturbs the signaling pathway in androgenic hair loss. On the other hand Active polyphenolic compounds such as Gallic Acid, Syringic Acid and Fumaric Acid which exist in herbal extracts compound used in Cerita tonic?s, have strong anti inflammation properties, this tonic has a strong antioxidant quality because of its poly phenolic components which have a special chemical structure, so by chelating metal ions (surrounding) they can hinder chemical reactions between free radicals and intracellular structures and so counteract the negative effects of these processes. In this study, 40 men who were suffering from hair loss, approximately, 160-210 hair strands in a day were examined. These subjects were divided into 2 groups. The first group used the Cerita?s anti hair loss lotion and the second group used temple lotion for 10weeks. In the first group the rate of hair loss was decreased to 70-110 hair strands in a day, and in the second group to 120-150 hair strands in a day. Obtained results confirm that herbal stimulators can have a critical effect on decreasing in hair loss and chemical compounds side effects.
