In rural India, mental health needs are often overshadowed by limited resources and workforce shortages. This presentation highlights a scalable model integrating mental health screening and treatment into primary health care using task-sharing, telepsychiatry, and community outreach. Results from a cluster-randomized trial demonstrate improved detection of com mon mental disorders, increased treatment engagement, and reduced symptom severity. The modelā??s cost-effectiveness and adaptability to similar low-income settings will be discussed.
