The success of mRNA vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic has transformed vaccine development paradigms. This talk discusses key scientific and logistical lessons learned from mRNA vaccine deployment and explores their potential applica tions against influenza, RSV, and emerging viral threats. Challenges related to stability, manufacturing scalability, and global equity is addressed, along with innovations aimed at next-generation mRNA platforms.
Mei-Ling Chen is an associate professor and molecular virologist at National Taiwan University. Her research centers on viral immunology and vaccine platform technologies. She has published extensively on mRNA-based vaccine development and translational virology.
