Abstract :

Stratum corneum represents the main barrier to the penetration of cosmetic products and peelings. We investigated the possibility to multi perforate the stratum corneum before applying a chemical peeling on the face. Using a microneedling material (AD ROLL TDŽ) 0.5 mm large needle and a 600 needles head, we rolled the skin with a ?scratching? pressure, as recommended, 4 times in 4 different directions, in order to induce 1000 holes/cm2. These holes perforate epidermis and terminate into the superficial dermis. It has demonstrated enhanced skin permeability immediately after rolling the skin. We thereafter apply 1 or 2 coats of the peeling ?Easy TCA? (trichloracetic acid, 15%) until getting frosting points associated to a visible redness. After that, the anti inflammatory and healing system ?post peel mask? cream is applied on the treated area. The patient can immediately leave the clinic. It results in a stronger dermal stimulation, with less epidermal chemical damage, giving an enhanced anti-ageing result and less discomfort for the patient. The same technique can be used in any part of the body for a better skin tension efficacy. No specific side effect has been seen on our little series.
