Abstract :

Beauty Lift is a thread made from polydioxanone (PDO), a thread which dissolves in up to 8 months and which yields amazing rejuvenation results. The application of the thread is practically non-invasive and painless, takes up to 50 minutes, leaves no scaring or cuts and the minor redness disappears within a few days. In addition, you can apply it almost anywhere on the body. The threads were created as an alternative for patients who do not want to go down the route of surgical face lift but still want the effects of a surgical face-lift. Threads are used for regeneration of skin, improving the structure of the face, neck and dcollet and breasts, buttocks, abdomen or even elbows and knees. These threads provide a natural and youthful appearance of the skin and protect against wrinkles for a long time. PDO is a material known and used in medicine for many years. So far, it has mainly been used in surgery. Five years ago, a Korean doctor produced research which showed that the PDO thread, used in conjunction with acupuncture, relaxed the muscles and tendons. For two years, this method has been used by physicians in aesthetic medicine throughout the world. Based on clinical observations, it was found that the PDO stimulates tissue neocolagenesis process, which stimulates the production of new collagen. In addition, activation of fibroblasts results in stimulating the synthesis of elastin. It was also found that the effect of polydioxanone causes the synthesis of natural (endogenous) hyaluronic acid. PDO thread is placed in a sterile, very thin needle with which is placed in specific areas of the body. Depending on the location, the threads are introduced into the skin, the subcutaneous fat or muscle. It improves skin texture-it becomes thicker, tighter, firmer and improves colour, and then narrows the pores. It also smoothes fine lines. The length of the thread varies. Shorter strands are ideal for revitalizing and smoothing fine lines around eyes, twisted, thicker strands injected intramuscularly in the forehead act as an alternative to Botox. The aesthetic effect is more natural than the injections of botulinum toxin, as it does not paralyse the muscles. Only to weaken the influence of their actions, the muscles are relaxed, and thus, facial skin is smoother. With long PDO threads, oval face can be corrected. The main indications for PDO threads are: Facial: Vertical and horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, brow lift, slender, soft tissue, drooping eyebrows, the lower eyelid, lifting the cheeks, nasolabial furrow, double chin Body: Folds and wrinkles of the skin on the face and neck, firming and increasing sagging breast tissues and stretch marks on the buttocks, abdomen, arms and elbows and even knees Entering the PDO thread into the skin will give immediate improvement in the appearance. After about 10-14 days, the process of natural body protein synthesis begins and continues throughout the period of holding the threads in the body (about two years).
