Abstract :

Recent years have seen several exciting new developments in the field of dermatopathology. The focus of this talk will be on some of these advances including: recognition of new disease entities and histologic patterns, novel tests now available for research and clinical practice, development of new technologies and tools (i.e., genetic testing, new monoclonal antibodies), application of existing technology in new ways and interfacing with other specialists for comprehensive and better-quality care of patients. In conclusion, the field of dermatopathology continues to provide exciting new innovations that promise to help in the diagnosis and management of patients with challenging dermatological conditions.
