Abstract :

Chronic leg ulcers are open sores which are caused by an injury or an underlying disease such as diabetes , vascular pathology or rheumatoid arthritis. In this study ten patients with chronic leg ulcers which are due to variable diseases were treated with intralesional vitamin c. Vitamin c was injected to ulcers as 10-mm intervals once a week. During the study in all ulcerative lesions were regressed. We suggest that vitamin c injection may be an important part of treatment in chronic leg ulcers.
