Abstract :

Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevi (GCMV) occurred in approximately 1 to 6 percent of the children population with various sizes and is one of the least common type of melanocytic nevi cases. This is a case report of a female baby born with GCMV in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara. A female baby was born spontaneously in the primary health center approximately 3 to 4 hours prior to hospital admission. The newborn baby was referred to the hospital because a giant nevi was spotted around her stomach, back, and thighs upon delivery. She was found with other congenital anomalies, in which her left and right leg had different length and ectrodactyly was spotted in her right foot. She was only treated with moisturizer and we educate the parents regarding the possibilities of referring their daughter to refferal hospital in province of east nusa tenggara in order to receive advance treatment, since GCMV is a pre-cancer skin lesion. We reported a rare case of giant melanocytic nevus with congenital extremity abnormality at our hospital in remote area that require advanced assessment to further management.
